LAKE SHERWOOD ACRES CLUBHOUSE RENTAL RULES www.lakesherwoodacres.com
The following rules and regulations are intended for your safety and the enjoyment of our clubhouse. 1. The renter must be a member in good standing of the Sherwood Lake Association or have an outside membership in order to rent the clubhouse facility. He/She MUST be present throughout the entire event and is responsible for the proper utilization of the facilities, payment, cleanup and securing the building. Proper utilization includes assuring that no illegal activities occur during the rental period. Rental payment and deposit checks are to be made payable to Lake Sherwood Club, Inc. All parties must be scheduled through the Rental Chairperson. 2. Rental of the facilities is on a “first come-first served basis. The renter, at the time of requesting to rent the clubhouse, must complete the Lake Sherwood Acres Clubhouse Rental Request and the Rental Agreement as found on the Lake Sherwood Website (www.lakesherwoodacres.com) or as provided by the Rental Chairperson. - The Rental Request form along with deposit of $75 is necessary to hold the time slot for the building and can be mailed to the Rental Chairperson. The Club is not considered reserved until the Rental Chairperson has a deposit in hand. This deposit will be returned after the facilities are inspected, the keys are returned, and the Clubhouse is undamaged.
3. Cancellation of an event must be made no later than 24 hours before the event. Failure to comply with any of these rules can result in forfeiture of the deposit. 4. The rental fee includes the cost of cleaning the inside of the clubhouse and bathrooms. However, all decorations and food must be removed from the building and disposed of properly. 5. Cleanup of the clubhouse outside is the responsibility of the renter. This includes, but is not limited to, balloons on the mailbox and cups and trash dropped by guest in the grass or parking lots as they are leaving. See Basic Checklist at the end of these rules. 6. Rental payment is to be made a week before the event, when the rental agreement is signed. The renter must make an appointment with the Rental Chairperson to accomplish this. Generally,
the keys will not be available until the day of the function, as determined
by the Rental Chairperson. 7. Notify the Rental Chairperson if you will need outside lighting so as to make sure new bulbs are installed before the function. 8. Club equipment, tables and chairs are not to be taken off the premises. They are not available for loan. 9. The Club's pool, bathrooms and back rooms are not closed to members in the event that a function is being held in the main room during regular pool hours. The back doors will be opened so that bathroom traffic will be routed away from the main room. However, the lifeguards must be able to come into the kitchen at any time. After pool hours the Clubhouse will be available for large gatherings at the discretion of the Board. During the summer no parties of over 25 people will be permitted except after hours. The pool will not be closed early to accommodate private functions. 10. All parties for children 21 and under must be chaperoned by an adult member at all times. Chaperone to child ratio should be no less than 1:8. 11. All of the club premises are smoke free, both inside of the building and outside on the pool deck. 12. No liquor shall be served in the clubhouse prior to 7:00 p.m. during pool season. 13. Any functions scheduled that wish to use the pool side during non pool hours MUST use Lake Sherwood Club lifeguards. NO EXCEPTIONS (for insurance reasons).
