LSC POOL RULES AND REGULATIONS -
Lifeguards have the complete authority and responsibility to enforce the
rules, regulations, sanitation, and safety of the pool. If you have
complaints with their actions, please contact Kristin Patterson, pool manager, immediately to discuss the situation.
- Parents assume full responsibility for any accident involving their child while using the pool or Clubhouse facilities
- Children between the ages of 7 and 12 must be accompanied in the main pool by someone over 14 or must pass a swimming test administered by the lifeguards or Pool Manager. The scope of the test is to be approved by the Board and posted at the Club. Children under the age of 7 must be accompanied by someone over 14 years of age at all times.

In case of an emergency or bad weather, parents or guardians must leave a telephone number where they can be reached at all times by their child before dropping him or her off at the pool. The lifeguards cannot be responsible for a child if the pool is closed due to weather or emergencies. Use of the pool facility and the lifeguards as a "baby-sitting service" is unacceptable
and will not be allowed. Failure to abide by the swimming pool rules
will result in suspension of swimming privileges. - The lifeguards must remove all swimmers from the pool at the first sign of thunder or lightning. They must stay out of the pool for at least 15 minutes after the last sign of thunder and lightning. There will be no argument over this rule.
- If weather is inclement prior to opening time, the pool will not be opened. If closed, a sign will be posted in the window identifying the cause and time. The pool and Clubhouse may be opened if the weather improves. If the weather becomes inclement during the day, the clubhouse will remain open
at the discretion of the Pool Manager or lifeguard in charge.
- No glass or breakable containers will be allowed in the pool area or Clubhouse.
- No running or rough play in the pool area or bathrooms.
- The Club will not be responsible for the loss of money or valuables.
- Only one person is allowed on the diving board at a time. One is to dive straight off the end of the board, not to the side, after making certain no one is in front of the board. No excessive bouncing.
- The use of floating material, balls and breathing apparatus will be at the discretion of the lifeguard in charge.
- No cutoffs or gym shorts are allowed in the pool; appropriate attire only.
- Members should sign their name and name(s) of guest(s) in the pool register each time the pool is visited. Guest fees of $3.00 per guest, whether swimming or not, are payable at the gate to the lifeguard on duty.
- Members/guests must refrain from unnecessary conversation with the lifeguards.
- Injuries and accidents must be reported to the lifeguard.
- Profanity in any age member will not be tolerated nor will disobedience. Violation will result in expulsion from the club premises.
- It is requested that gum not be chewed and band-aids not be worn in the pool area. Both are hazards to the pool filtering system.
- For sanitation reasons, babies must wear swim diapers. These are available for purchase from the lifeguard. Accidents cause the pool to be closed.
WADING POOL RULES AND REGULATIONS - No child who is able to stand in the main pool will be allowed in the wading pool unless playing with a baby.
- An adult must accompany babies and toddlers at all times. Lifeguards are not responsible for supervising the wading pool.
- No head first diving.
- For sanitation reasons, babies must wear swim diapers. These are available for purchase from the lifeguard. Accidents cause the pool to be closed.
- All main pool rules govern the use of the wading pool.
Guest Regulations 1. Children and grandchildren of Sherwood Lake Association homeowners in good standing with the association are also members of the club and able to swim and use the facilities without fees. 2. Local or out-of-town guests accompanied by a member will be admitted to the pool. Babysitters of children, who’s families are Club members, are also admitted without charge while they are caring for the children. 3. The name of each guest must be signed into the pool register along with the name of the member, each time they use the pool. Guest fees of $3.00 per guest, whether swimming or not, are payable at the gate to the lifeguard on duty All guests must be accompanied at the pool by a member.

Members are allowed a total of 8 guests per day unless a gazebo party is
scheduled in advance with the Pool Manager or the Rental Chairman. Any member who causes any damage to any club facility or premises shall be responsible for the immediate payment of the cost of all damages and failure to pay for all damages shall result in suspension of membership privileges and rights These rules and the use of the pool maybe altered or limited in the interest of the facility and convenience of the members at the discretion of the Sherwood Lake & Lake Sherwood Club Board of Directors.
