Doug is a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge. He has served as the Worship Associate/Pianist at Istrouma Baptist Church since 1983. He has also served on the professional staff at LSU since 1986, with a current role of Director of HR & Financial Systems within Information Technology Systems. Doug is an accomplished pianist, having received his formal piano instruction from the studio of the late Ernestine Durrett of Baton Rouge. He received a B.S. in Basic Sciences from LSU in May 1986.

Doug and Debbie are thrilled to be the “new kids on the block” at Lake Sherwood Acres. As a realtor, Debbie loves to “sing the praises” of Lake Sherwood Acres to potential buyers. Both Doug and Debbie are eager to invest themselves with their new neighbors in our community.

Prior to moving to Baton Rouge in 1996, I lived in Connecticut and graduated from Southern Connecticut State University in 1962. After an 8 year career in teaching, I served as a labor negotiator and organizer for 30 years with the Connecticut Education Association/NEA, the teachers’ union.

I was elected treasurer of SLA in January, 1997. I also serve as a member of the Lake Sherwood Council and as Chairman of the Communications and Finance Committee and am currently Vice President for membership.

I am a volunteer arbitrator for BBB, active in the Cajun Clickers Computer Club, and a member of Italian American Spanish Town Marching group.

I am married to Charlotte and have 4 grown daughters, 2 living in Concord, CA, Arlington, VA and Darien, CT and a step-son in Henderson, TN along with 8 grandchildren. In my spare time, I enjoy assisting others.

Shannon Long has been a resident of Lake Sherwood Acres since July 2016.  She lives with her husband Patrick, son Jackson, and moms Susan Vaughan and Lydia Thompson. She and her family were drawn to Lake Sherwood Acres because of its reputation, uniqueness, and charm.  Together, Shannon and Patrick have been renovating their home since 2017 and are both excited and proud of what they’ve accomplished thus far.

Shannon is originally from Erie, PA, but moved to Baton Rouge in the fall of 1999 to attend LSU, where she received a B.A. in Economics in 2006.  Her professional background is in Accounting and Finance and is currently employed as the Controller for PreSonus Audio Electronics, Inc., a global manufacturer of software and studio recording equipment headquartered in Baton Rouge.   In addition to completing renovation projects with her husband, she enjoys tap and jazz dancing at the Jeffie Jean Dance Studio, baking, and watching LSU sports. Shannon also joined the LSA Garden Club in 2019 and wishes to continue her involvement in other areas of the HOA.

My wife, Lori, and I have lived in Lake Sherwood for the last 23 years. We have 2 adult children who grew up in Lake Sherwood and both live out of town.  I have been employed by ExxonMobil for the last 25 years in the Turnaround and construction group.  I have experience in planning, and construction management on projects locally and abroad.  Lori and I are both LSU grads and enjoy tailgating with the Tigers in all sports.  We are members of St Thomas More catholic church where both Lori and the girls attended elementary school.  Living in Lake Sherwood the last 23 years we have seen many residents step up to help our neighborhood remain vibrant and desirable, I simply feel a responsibility to help keep our neighborhood moving in a direction to keep it that way.

Jim Cazes, his wife Grace, and their teenage son Trevor moved into Lake Sherwood Acres in March of 2007. They moved from Parkview Oaks to Lake Sherwood Acres. Lake Sherwood Acres residency had been a dream of theirs for several years after they had moved into the adjoining subdivision 15 years earlier.

Jim recently retired from Johnson Diversey after working for them for 30+ years-- most recently in a sales manager position working the Gulf Coast, from Louisiana to the pan handle of Florida.

Jim served on the St. Thomas More School Board while Trevor was attending school there. He is also active with the St. Patrick Catholic Church and many of their organizations.

Jim is from the Baton Rouge area, and is a graduate of Istrouma and LSU Baton Rouge. He has degrees in Marketing and Management. He likes to cook and enjoys nature and the out doors. He is an avid golfer, fisherman, and hunter.

My wife Sara and I are Baton Rouge natives moving into Lake Sherwood 7 years ago. We are blessed with 4 children; Cade (25), Caleb (24), Riley (21) and Trace (14). I love anything outdoors including fishing, hunting and playing golf. We currently host a bible study each Sunday evening in our home, attend The Table Church and run a local nonprofit, Wings of The Spirit. We love the neighborhood, love our neighbors and hope to see Lake Sherwood remain a staple in the community.

Jennifer St. Cyr and husband, Scott moved into Lake Sherwood Acres two years ago. We have lived in Baton Rouge for 25 of our 33 years of marriage. We have two adult children, Meghan and Wesley (Emily), a granddaughter, and two high school students, Alex and Christian.

My work experience includes biotech companies in the Northeast, various management positions and bookkeeper for a software company.

My volunteer positions include PTA president at both Buchanan and Glasgow, Parent Guild Treasurer at St. Luke’s, School Board Member at St. Aloysius, Manager of multiple BRSA competitive teams, member of the “Our Lady’s Fighting Tigers” at Christ the King, Prayer Warriors at St. Michael, and backstage parent for many theater productions around town. Our kids have attended public schools in EBR, private schools in EBR and we have been “home school” parents.

My family and I moved to Baton Rouge from Houston in 2020. Shortly afterwards we discovered Lake Sherwood and have been residents since 2021. We are active in the St Thomas More Church Community. I was a Physician Assistant in Family Practice for 10 years before having our third baby. Now as a stay at home mom, our four kids do their best to keep us young! We have loved taking advantage of all this neighborhood has to offer. Between swim team, clubhouse activities, and neighborhood friends, we feel like we have something special here to invest in.

My wife Carolyn and I moved to LSA in 2000 from Shenandoah. We raised two sons here. They are both graduates from LSU and are married with children. We enjoy spoiling our five grandchildren. We now have a 100 pound German Shepherd son named Cosmeaux.

I am a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge. Carolyn, a native Texan, is a retired high school English and speech teacher.

I retired from Shell Chemical in the Pressure Equipment Integrity group of the Engineering Department in 2017. Retirement is great! I enjoy six Saturdays and a Sunday every week. I am an avid LSU Tiger fan and Alum. We are members of Istrouma Baptist Church.
