Are Short Term Rentals (ie. VRBO or AirBNB) allowed in neighborhood?
No. short term rentals are not allowed per the covenants.
How do I get approval for home exterior changes?
All exterior modifications, including painting and landscaping, must be submitted to the Architectural Review Committee for approval. Please submit a Maintenance Request Form to council@lakesherwoodacres.com.
What happens if a covenant is violated?
The HOA follows a structured enforcement process that starts with a friendly reminder, followed by formal notices and potential fines if the issue remains unresolved.
What are the rules on pets and animals?
Normal household pets such as dogs and cats are allowed, but livestock and poultry are not. Pets also may not be kept for commercial purposes or in numbers or conditions that are offensive to other owners. Pets must be kept on a leash while outside of the home/yard.
Are signs allowed on lots?
Signs in yards are prohibited except "For Sale/Lease" signs.
Are residents also members of the Lake Sherwood Acres Club?
Yes! All residents are also members of the club and enjoy full access to the pool and tennis courts during open hours.
Where can I find information about annual HOA dues?
